iPhone 6 Pricing Out – All three telcos peg it high

Well, Singapore, looks like the new iPhones’ pricing is out – and it’s ugly. While the iPhone 6 is priced at a similar level to its competitor, the Z1 Compact (and soon the Z3 Compact), the iPhone 6 Plus is priced ridiculously high, costing nearly $300 more than other Android flagships. Sony Xperia Z3 Singapore launch event confirmed to be on 16 September

When last month we were sent an invite from Sony for an “exciting event” planned for the 16th of September in Singapore. With Sony confirming their switch to a 6 month release cycle earlier this year, we speculated we’d see the Z3 launch in Singapore then, and we were right.

ZTE sets foot in Singapore with launch of ​ three new Android smartphones

Sony Xperia Z3 Singapore launch event scheduled for 16 September

Update 3: The launch event is over! Check out Singapore release dates and pricing for all Sony products unveiled at IFA 2014 here!

Keeping in strict accordance to their relatively new 6 month release cycle, Sony has sent out the invitations for an “exciting event” planned for the 16th of September in Singapore. With Sony confirming their switch to a 6 month release cycle earlier this year, it is plain to see the Xperia Z3 will be revealed then.

Update 2: Sony has confirmed that we’ll be seeing the Z3, Z3 Compact and Z3 Tablet Compact on 16 September, when the event starts at 3:30 PM so stay tuned!

Update 1: The Z3 has been unveiled alongside the Z3 Compact and Z3 Tablet Compact at IFA 2014. We’ll be heading to Marina Bay Sands for the live coverage of Sony Singapore’s event on 16 Sept, where the Z3 is most likely to take centre stage. Surface Pro 3 available in Singapore on 28 August from S$1108

Today Microsoft announced via the Surface Blog that Surface Pro 3 will become available for purchase at retail outlets and commercial resellers on 28 August in Singapore. Customers can pre-orders for Surface Pro 3 now at the Microsoft Store online, as well as at authorized retailers Challenger, Newstead and Harvey Norman.

HTC One (E8) available from 26 July at S$658

I wasn’t very happy with HTC’s decision to launch the One (E8) over a month ago. Using the brilliant HTC One (M8) with a 90% metal body, the faster processor, superb UI and dazzling display as a baseline, they re-launched it in plastic but with a better camera. Understandably many One (M8) customers grumbled, but perhaps they will not now – the One (E8) will cost just S$658.
