Microsoft today announced the availability of the Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL in Singapore for only SGD299...
One year ago, I reviewed the Lumia 1520 and was left thoroughly impressed with its all-round flagship performance. Now, a year later, the Lumia 1520 still remains Nokia’s (or Microsoft Mobile’s) best Windows Phone to date (sorry, Lumia 930). So we’ve decided to revisit the Lumia 1520 to see how well it has aged after all these months, and more importantly, whether you should still get one.
Well Microsoft’s first Windows Phone is here. The Lumia 535 isn’t flagship material, but for $199 it’s a real bang for your buck, even including a 5MP front facing camera, flash on the back, and a whole bunch of sensors, all of which the Lumia 630/635 didn’t have. The old favourite colour, cyan, also makes a comeback on this device. Check out the press release and full specs below.
(Press Release) Microsoft today announced the availability of the Lumia 930 with Windows Phone 8.1 in Singapore at a recommended retail price of SGD789, a device which integrates the best of Microsoft and Lumia to deliver the ultimate video and imaging experience on a smartphone.
We’re down at the Red Dot Museum in Singapore where Microsoft is about to showcase their latest tablet-ultrabook hybrid, the Surface Pro 3, after giving the Surface Pro 2 a complete miss. It’s dubbed the tablet that can replace your laptop, and it’s a pretty good deal at roughly $1500 SGD for the i5 128GB version (plus type cover), and we can’t wait to get our hands on it over at the event. Related: Pre-order the Surface Pro 3 now in Singapore (full specs and pricing).
Microsoft Singapore has just sent out invites to media partners for the Surface Pro 3 launch preview event in Singapore. Just announced last month, the Surface Pro 3 is Microsoft’s third attempt at redefining the PC and tablet.
After giving the Surface Pro 2 a complete miss, Singapore will be pleased to have its successor, the Pro 3, to grace its shores. In fact, the Surface Pro 3 is already up for pre-order in Singapore here.
Love it or hate it, live tiles are here to stay. Yes, Microsoft’s bringing back the Start menu, but the fact is, for a unified system interface, live tiles are still going to be very much present. Still, some lament that the live tiles serve no functional purpose other than looking pretty, and providing a tad more information than your regular icons. So what can Microsoft do about live tiles to make them better?
A month back we reported that Windows Phone 8.5 would bring a live tile overhaul, and now it seems that this feature will be coming to Windows as well.
