First of all, Razer has updated the display of the Blade Stealth 13. It’s still got the same 13.3″ size and (non-touch) FHD resolution, but it’s now running at a high refresh rate of 120Hz. There is also a 4K touchscreen option available, albeit running at 60Hz.
They’ve also updated the GPU. It’s now running on a GTX 1650 Ti, which is a slight performance increase from the previous GTX 1650.
The processor has also been bumped to a faster 25W variant of the Intel® Core™ i7-1065G7. It’s also using more efficient 16GB LPDDR4X memory. The laptop comes with 512GB of SSD storage.
Razer Blade’s legacy
The Razer Blade Stealth has always been an intriguing option in the ultrabook segment. While it first started off as a regular premium ultrabook, Razer has since started to focus on its graphics performance.
Last year saw the inclusion of dedicated graphics cards in the Razer Blade Stealth. The MX150, although not a powerhouse, provided a significant bump from integrated graphics. The later inclusion of the GTX 1650 meant that the Blade Stealth became a serious contender as a portable gaming laptop.
Now with a 120Hz high refresh rate display and improved processor and graphics, the Blade Stealth might have pushed portable gaming further.
Pricing on Razer has always been slightly higher than its competitors, but you couldn’t get any other gaming laptop that’s as small and light as the Stealth. You’re also paying more for the brand and for the solid build quality.
