The iPhone 6S has been announced.
Every other year, Apple releases a new iPhone that is an increment to the previous version. Today, we look at the “S” increments of this year.
Apple recently reported that 69% of their revenue came from iPhone 6 sales alone. To date, 74 million people have bought an iPhone 6, a number higher than for any other iPhone. This despite the proliferation of cheap, great Android handsets in the market from the likes of Xiaomi, OnePlus, and Oppo, among many others. With smartphone features being increasingly similar, and performance differences negligible, you would be forgiven for wondering why your friends would splash a thousand bucks on an iPhone, when an Android handset half the price would perform just as well, perhaps better.
A cousin of mine once walked up to me and said, “You know what people say about Windows Phone?..”
“…Nothing.”
He was right though, to a certain extent. While Windows Phone has secured 3rd spot in the mobile OS war, many people are still ignorant to the existence of the OS. And while I’ve seen more and more people using Windows Phones in public, few are actually satisfied with their phones. I’m one of those few. Or at least I was.
Open your eyes Singapore, the world is more than just Apples and Samsungs.
