The new TouchWiz is impressive, but what does it mean?

Samsung’s changing TouchWiz to look like Tizen such that when they finally make the switch, the average consumer wouldn’t even notice.

When the Galaxy S5 was announced at MWC in February, several manufacturers took a jab at it. The heart rate monitor seemed redundant; the back of the device was often compared to a band aid; and TouchWiz didn’t get the major overhaul that it was leaked to have. We here at Twenty First Tech were a little disappointed too – until we got our hands on it at the launch event last week that is.

Dual Cameras and Heart Rate monitors: Are we running out of ideas?

When HTC announced the successor to the HTC One last week, many were intrigued by its dual rear cameras. Throughout the series of leaks before the unveiling, many people speculated as to what the cameras could do. Perhaps HTC decided to have a proper high-resolution camera, and a second “UltraPixel” camera. But instead the truth is that it was simply used to adjust the point of focus on the photo after it was taken (on top of adding a couple of effects). Samsung Galaxy S5 launches in Singapore, pre-order now (links)

Last night, the Twenty First Tech team attended the Samsung GALAXY S5 launch event. Samsung announced the launch of the fifth generation of its GALAXY S series, the GALAXY S5 LTE, in Singapore yesterday.
