Better late than never. Though in Motorola’s case, its Moto X is almost a year late into the market.
The Moto X is a decent mid-range smartphone, considering that it uses a modest 4.7″ 720p Super AMOLED screen and a 1.7 GHz Qualcomm dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus processor. The retail price off-contract is a hefty S$568, all things considered, when the more powerful Xiaomi Mi3 is going for S$339.
The only downside is, with better devices like the LG G3 costing just S$868 and much cheaper smartphones like the Xiaomi Redmi 1S vying for attention, the Moto X isn’t an easy sell.
The biggest upside to the Android smartphone, is the pure Android interface, devoid of horribly bloated UI addons. And if you’re sold on that, here’s how you can get the Moto X.
The Internet-savvy (read: those who can’t be arsed to get off their lazy butt) can order if from online retailer Omigo. The device will be shipped to your delivery address within five to seven business days.
Need instant gratification? Try your luck at the PC Show that’s been going on since this Thursday, 5 June. Or, just drop by any nearby M1 or StarHub retail shop. The good news is, there’s a bunch of freebies bundled with the Moto X, which includes a screen protector, USB reader with micro SD card, and USB OTG cables, whilst stocks last.
