This is the price you have to pay for a Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ in Singapore

We’ve recently shared our first impressions on the brand new Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ at Samsung’s launch event in Singapore, and now we’ve got details on the pricing of the phones. Spoiler: it ain’t cheap.

Galaxy S8 and S8+ Pre-order Details
Registration of interest and pre-order for the Galaxy S8 and S8+ will commence from 7 April 2017 at all telecommunication operators, major consumer electronics stores’ websites, Lazada Singapore and Samsung Experience Stores. Pre-order for the Galaxy S8 and S8+ will also be available at the Galaxy Studio at Civic Plaza, Ngee Ann City during opening hours from 14 April 2017.

Local Pricing and Availability
The Galaxy S8 and S8+ will be available in colour options of Maple Gold, Midnight Black and Orchid Gray from 29 April 2017 at the recommended retail price of $1,148 (S8) and $1,298 (S8+).

On a side note, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will also be available from 29 April 2017 in Black and Silver with both Wi-Fi® and LTE options, retailing at the recommended retail price of $898 and $1,098 respectively.

Compared with the S$898 asking price for the new Sony Xperia XZs and S$988 for the LG G6, the new Galaxies are substantially more expensive. Keep that in mind when deciding which phone to purchase.
