Last week, Twenty First Tech had the opportunity to attend Halo: The Master Chief Collection Tour, and had some hands on time with the game. Head past the break for pricing and availability details, as well as screenshots of the actual gameplay!
Halo: The Master Chief Collection contains Halo 1 – 4, completely re-mastered for the Xbox One. And at SGD$69.90, it’s an extremely unbelievable deal. Of course, the highlight of the event was Halo 2 Anniversary, which features a fully re-mastered campaign. During the demo, pro-gamer Walshy showed us how the player could switch instantly between the new engine and the original one, unlike in Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary which required a fade-in fade-out animation. This apparently “showcases the power of the Xbox One” as it is running both engines simultaneously.
In addition, all the campaign missions have been unlocked, so gamers can play any one they want in no particular order, which is pretty cool. There are over 100 multiplayer and Spartan Ops maps across all four games, all of which will run at 60fps.
And it doesn’t stop here. Halo MCC also includes access to the new live-action digital series Halo Nightfall, and Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta, which will be launching this December.
You’ll be able to get Halo MCC off the shelves for SGD$69.90 from 11 November 2014 for your Xbox One. And I’m sure that everyone will agree that no Xbox will be complete without a copy of this game. (4 games in 1?! That’s a steal). It would be nice to see Halo Reach re-mastered for the Xbox One though, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see if Microsoft decides to do that.
