Motorola has just announced that anyone interested in a Moto X will be able to obtain a no-contract unit for their personal use for two weeks. More importantly, Motorola has priced this at-home trial at an almost-impossible price of $0.01.
Starting at 11:00 p.m. CT on June 8, consumers will be able to sign up for a special code on Motorola’s website. They can then create a no-contract Moto X using Moto Maker.
After the 14-day trial period, the customer can then keep the phone and have their credit card charged or return it and have Motorola pay the return shipping costs. If they do decide to keep the phone, Motorola will give them a coupon code good for 30 percent off an accessory.
