Lumia 1520 dummies appear in stores, launching in Singapore real soon

The Lumia 1520, the first ever phablet made by Nokia, and a first for the Windows Phone ecosystem. It isn’t just an ordinary phablet. No, the 1520 represents a big step for Microsoft. With a 6″ 1080p display (which is apparently currently the best display on any phone), and a Snapdragon 800 processor (yes the one on the Note 3, Z1 and G2), Windows Phone has finally taken it up a notch, and can stand face-to-face with the Android titans in terms of specs.

We recently reported that the Lumia 1520 was teased by Nokia Singapore on Facebook, and hinted at a Nov 22 launch date (that’s tomorrow). Will you be able to get it tomorrow though? We’re not sure, but a Lumia 1520 dummy was spotted in the wild at a Starhub shop, which usually indicates that the device will be available within a week.

Of course, this being a flagship device, it should be retailing at all three telcos. We (unfortunately) haven’t gotten our hands on one yet, but we definitely will check it out when it lands in stores.
