Credit where it’s due, HTC has finally picked up on the ball regarding Android version updates. Previously, the company was one of the slowest in updating their devices to the latest operating version of Android, as evidenced by a string of users incenses at being limited to older operating system version, like on the HTC One X. However, HTC is one of the first manufacturers to begin the rollout of Android 4.3 Jellybean this time. HTC One users have been able to download this update since yesterday.
Earlier this week, HTC had made the promise of updating the One to the latest released version, and it has. The popup, as shown above, has been appearing on many users’ phones. If you are a HTC One user, you should also be seeing this update.
Just to remind you, the HTC One has a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S600, clocked at 1.7 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, the Adreno 320 GPU, 32/64 GB of storage, a 4 MP UltraPixel camera and a 4.7 inch Full HD display. Even with the slew of next-gen flagships being released, this is still a very potent device. It also looks and feels great in the hand, with its aluminium uni-body design.
