Samsung already has many variants in its Galaxy line, two of which are unquestionable premium models – the Galaxy S series and the Galaxy Note series. Looks like Samsung is disappointed with only having two premium series, and if Korean news site ETNews is to be believed, they are going to launch a new super-premium Galaxy line called the Galaxy F. While you might be rolling your eyes right now, there might still be some good news to come out of this, probably at a price though.
The Galaxy F will probably have a full-metal body, something Android die-hards have been clamouring for for years. It also looks to have a 16 MP camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), and Samsung’s update Exynos octa-core processor.
This might be a smart move from Samsung, as it is during the October to December period where their sales dip sharply. This is mainly because rivals release their flagships during this time, as can be seen with the Sony Xperia Z1 and LG G2. While Samsung also releases their Note 3 during a similar period, they limit themselves to phablet users, of which there are considerably less than standard smartphone users.
