In the past few days rumours about the HTC One Max have been spreading like wildfire. Amongst the most obvious of features, one rumour has been standing out – the possibility of a fingerprint scanner, not unlike the one incorporated into the recently revealed iPhone 5S. There is a high possibility that this device will roll out with Android 4.3 (4.4 KitKat seems unlikely at this stage) together with HTC Sense 5.5.
These pictures show the possible HTC One Max prototype sitting next to the already released HTC One. There is some inkling of a fingerprint scanner, as seen in the rear image, with a square cut-out placed below the camera lens, but those are still very much rumours. However, with these images one can get the sense of size when comparing the phablet with the HTC One.
Aside from rumor about the supposed fingerprint scanner, other rumors point towards the One Max as arriving with a 5.9-inch display and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. That processor is expected to clock in at 2.3GHz and other details include the handset having a 3000 mAh battery, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage along with an UltraPixel camera on the back.
