Halo: Spartan Assault now available for Windows 8, WP8

The highly anticipated Halo game is now available exclusively on Microsoft’s PC and Windows Phone operating systems. The game, which was announced a month ago, takes place in the time frame between Halo 3 and Halo 4, where the player gets to play as Sarah Palmer of the UNSC before she became the commander that we know in Halo 4.

The game costs $8.99 on the Windows 8 store and $9.99 on the WP8 store. However, if you own both a Windows 8 device and a WP8 device, you’ll have to buy the game twice. The up-side is that the game is synched across all your devices. So if you’re playing the game on your Surface tablet, you’ll be able to pick up from where you’ve left off on your WP8 device. Pretty neat.

Furthermore, Microsoft is said to support the game with continuous updates and new features, so gamers will constantly be provided with new gaming scenarios.

You can download the WP8 version of the app here, or scan the QR code below. Apparently the game works with devices with 512MB of RAM so you’ll even be able to play it should you own a device such as the Lumia 520.
