Google sends out invites for July 24, Android 4.3 on the way

Google has sent out invites for an event on 24th June in San Francisco, 19:00 GMT, which will most likely shed some light on the next version of Android.

Android 4.3 is said to keep its Jelly Bean moniker. It seems that Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie will be unwrapped at next year’s Google I/O. Though Android 4.3 has been around on the Google Play edition of the Galaxy S4 for quite some time now, there haven’t been many new features. Hopefully, at the event happening next Wednesday, Google will unveil more changes to Android.

Additionally, the second-generation Nexus 7 tablet is expected to be announced. It’s been heavily rumored to pack a 7″ display of full HD resolution and a Snapdragon 600 CPU. ASUS is said to be responsible for building the next Nexus tablet.

Stay tuned for more information about the announcement next week.
